J. Steven Askew
October 15, 1949 - January 26, 2017
J. Steven Askew, “ Steve “ age 67 of Glenmoore passed away on Thursday January 26, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Janice Carroll Askew with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
Born in Wilmington DE., he was the son of the late William & Mary Finn Askew.
Steven was and outstanding Master Carpenter for over 40 years, Steve shared his considerable talents generously and willingly before retiring in 2011. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy. A truly good man, Steves kindness, compassion and devotion to his late wife Jan will always be remembered.
He is survived by his siblings William Askew ( Brigitte ), Sally Snelling ( Gregory ), James Askew ( Mary ), Mary Juneau ( Charlie ). Also survived by his sister in law Jill Carroll, step -sisters Jackie Van Grofsky, Jill Mac Donald ( Bill ), Nieces and nephews Adam, Michael Askew, Sara Schweitzer, and Emma Junea. Predeceased by his stepmother Harriet S. Askew
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 11 AM from the St. Francis of Assisi 136 Saxer Ave Springfield, Pa. where friends may visit from 10 AM till time of mass.
Interment Private.
